A day at the zoo

Today is a very special day for Joel and myself. Today is our 8 year anniversary of being a couple (not married), but we have been exclusively together for 8 years! We celebrated the day by taking the kids to the zoo and meeting up with our good friends. It was nearly 60 degrees outside making it a perfect day to be outside! Notice the black bear above our heads!

Here is Ross, Liam, Joel and Austin on the merry-go-round.
Colin and I got a rare opportunity to take a picture with the hippos (mom's absolute favorite animal!!!!)

Austin and Liam got to ride on the wagon.
Melissa and Hayden came to meet us as well. Don't you think Colin and Hayden would make a cute couple :)

Speaking of couples... lol! Austin and Liam decided it would be a good idea to hold hands so they wouldn't get separated in the crowd. Annette and I were wondering when this becomes weird??? Not any time soon :)

Here is the crew taking a train ride... All Aboard!!!!

Happy New Year... 2009!!!!

We celebrated New Year's Eve by riding around in Austin's new truck. I am sure that Austin will be begging to drive a real car by the age of 3 :)We took the boys over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to actually ring in the New Year. Uncle Chris came over to our house to celebrate.

The neighbors came over as well. Here's Joel, Justin, Phil and Keith.

And here are the ladies... Shelby, Tammy, Natalie, myself, Brodie, Britney and Maureen.

Joel and I got to get away for a night and visit our good friend Seth up in Silverthorne.

Colin is 9 months old!!!!

The day after Christmas we took Colin in for his 9 month well visit... and as suspected... he's still huge!!! He weighed 24 lbs 10 oz (96th%), 30 inches long (94th%) and his head circumference is 19.25 inches (off the charts!).
There you have it... he is one big baby boy!

Colin is pulling up and standing on everything. I imagine he'll be walking in a couple of months!

It's a Merry Lucius Christmas!

The whole family was together on Christmas morning. GG, Grandma, Nana, Grandpa, Papa, and Uncle Chris came over to our house to watch
the boys open their gifts from Santa! There was no shortage of gifts...or joy and laughter!!! The boys were a little overwhelmed but has such a wonderful time opening all the gifts! Austin was pretty sure that all the presents were for him :)

Here's Colin playing in his new ball pit...
Why didn't they have these when I was a kid????

Colin's gift to everyone was allowing everybody to hold him without crying!

Here's GG and Joel. Joel never got the time to fix his hair because
Austin could not wait any longer to open his gifts!

Check Austin out in his new Cadillac Escalade!
It runs just like a car but only goes 5mph.

Here's Austin playing with his new train set.

Aunt Monte made the most adorable monster quilt for the boys.
Thank you sooooo much!

Too sweet!

Gotta love Grandpa. Joel and I got the family a turkey fryer and this was our first attempt to fry a turkey. It took nearly 2 hours to get the oil to heat up to 350 degrees... a process that usually only takes 20 minutes :) Notice that grandpa is wearing full on super duty protective gear.. including his very own welding mask! Oh, and you gotta love the mobile halogen lights so he can see what he's doing. It was quite the set up :) Maybe next time it'll go a little smoother!

Christmas Eve 2008

We spent Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa's house enjoying a delicious
prime rib dinner. Here's the cutie Colin. He turned 9 months old on Christmas Eve.

They can never sit still. Seriously!

Austin looked so handsome in his Scottie vest.

Nana and Colin were wore matching red shirts!

My oh my how things have changed!!! Penny and Brian have two little girls, Clara who is 4, Nora who is 1 and a third little girl on the way!!! Here is our best attempt at a group picture :)
Austin, Nora and Colin were not exactly cooperating. Austin and Clara play so well together! They were practically hooked at the hip!
