Father's Day 2009

It was a bittersweet Father's Day for the family. Saturday afternoon, our beloved Aunt Norma passed away due to diabetes and pneumonia complications. I have so many fond memories from childhood when we used to go visit Uncle Johnny and Aunt Norma on their Iowa farm. The farm house was always filled with sweet smelling goodies, loving family and most of all, Aunt Norma's warmth and kindness. You were very loved and will be missed Aunt Norma. Please give Uncle Johnny a big hug and kiss for all of us :)Here's a picture of the men that made our Father's Day possible. We (the mom's) cooked a delicious brunch to celebrate the occasion.I am so excited that I got a pic of all my boys looking into the camera!!!Look at these handsome boys!Like father like daughter ;) There is no question as to who my looks come from :) Colin and Nana

Grandpa got down on the boys level for some play time. Here's Colin begging for some food (round #3). Could you say no to that face????
He must've eaten an entire cantaloupe on his own!
These two are always goofing around!

Uncle Chris, GG and Nana had to rest from all the action.

We can't forget about our other babies Magnum and Willard!!!

GG, Grandma and Uncle Jon left for Iowa to attend the Aunt Norma's funeral.

We love you and hope you have a safe trip!

Maybe we do live in Kansas????

Here are some of the latest stunning images from the 9th consecutive day of severe storms in Colorado. This tornado was not as close as the others, but it's also not that far!!!

A couple moments of sunshine...

We went to the pool this morning to take advantage of the few short hours of sunshine before the storm clouds roll in. Here's Austin munching on some Cheetos trying to keep warm/
Brodie and Colin were impossible to get out of the water.
Colin turns into a total water baby... that is after 1 hour of crying because he thinks he's scared of the water. And then a bells goes on in his big head.... he loves the water!!! ding, ding, ding!!!
And then the rain rolls in... and the kiddos come over! We had Amelia and Brodie over for some fun :)
Here's Colin eating his snack at his table that Grandma and Grandpa got him for his birthday.
Eating is Colin's favorite pass time. Would you have ever guessed that???

A Week of Storms

It's been one crazy week in Colorado. You'd almost think we were living in Kansas! Today is the eighth consecutive day of severe thunderstorms and tornado's! Here are some pics from a friend of mine. She lives in the neighborhood I grew up in. This particular tornado did 100's of thousands of dollars worth of damage on June 9th to the Southlands Mall, approximately 8 miles from our current home. Pretty scary stuff!
