Colin James turns 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We celebrated Colin's first birthday today!!!!

Lots of friends and family joined us for the special event :) Follow along as we watch Colin's first encounter with a cake....The theme for Colin's cake was Thomas the Train!However, Colin had his very own individual cake. You are now looking at the beginning of Colin's first cake eating experience. At first I had to help Colin figure out that the cake was edible. Prepare yourselves... it gets a little messy...We had a lot of family and friends there to witness Colin's attack on his birthday cake!The first couple of hand swipes were not so bad. Please notice how the cake in the above picture is fully in tact....This is what the cake looked like 1 minute later!!! And believe me... most of the cake ended up in his belly!The cake that did not make it into his belly ended up....

well, you can see the above picture :)Austin decided to join in on the fun too!After the cake escapade, Colin took a much needed bath in the kitchen sink.Here is a not so messy Colin eating some pizza. Please notice that in a majority of these pictures, Colin has food in his mouth! This is when he is the happiest :)GG and Uncle Jon chatted with Grandma out on the patio. Two days ago, Denver had a blizzard that dumped 14 inches on our front porch. Today we enjoyed 55+ degree Spring like weather and watched the snow melt before our eyes!This is what the weather looked like 2 days ago!!!! Got to love Colorado! We had 20 adults and 20 kiddos to celebrate with. Here I am with the Ania's :)

Colin's first STEPS!!!!

So Colin has been taking a couple of baby steps here and there for the past week. However, yesterday he took a consecutive 5 steps.... today he took 7!!!! Hooray for Colin!!! He turns one this Tuesday, March 24th!

Austin's Birthday Present :)... to me!

Austin's favorite thing in the whole wide world is Birthday Cake! Here he is enjoying a piece... because...
Austin decided to create a wonderful gift for Mommy.. He took all my spices and decorated my kitchen with them!!! Say Cheese :)

A post for Colin

This post is a little update on our Chunky Monkey. Colin is 11 months old now. He has just a few weeks left until he becomes an official toddler! However, both him and Austin will always be my babies! ALWAYS!

Here's Colin standing all on his own... I imagine he'll be walking in the next month or so! He can stand for about 15 seconds on his own.
He has even taken a couple of baby steps :)
Here is our little man devouring a teething biscuit. He has broke 6 teeth in the past 3 weeks! I think he has got his daddy's big bright pearly whites!


GG and Nana were over with the rest of the family this weekend.
